Workshop – Build Your Own Meditation Practice

Build Your Own Meditation PracticeI am writing to friends who have friends, who may have other friends – who know it is time to find a way to calm in times of chaos.
This is a workshop that has been planned to offer spaciousness to reflect, reset, and remember that your life is worth much more than anything.
You will learn about how meditation works best if you can learn to focus on breath, posture, and cultivation of a state of “relaxed” concentration.
There will be a spring sound meditation led by Inez of Healing Arts in northern California.  Her practice is based on indigenous teachings that have been a part of her healing work with individuals diagnosed with cancer, long-term illnesses, and acute conditions. You can download a pdf of the brochure here.
Healthy chef Carlos Gonzales will be preparing a meal for the day that will reflect his passion for flavors, fresh, local, and organic food.
And, Ming Tu will be sharing some of the images that have been inspired by the year-long exploration of where people in this state have seen common ground when it comes to health and well-being.
Please share this invitation with friends.  We are not taking donations at evite – because the transaction costs are high.
Instead, please go to our donations page to make a contribution; suggested is $100 but we are grateful for anything you may wish to give. (Commonweal is a 501(c)(3) and we are a program of CW).
After 20 years of practice and instruction, now more than ever we know:  time is fleeting, our bodies change but our essence remains, and it is important to remember kindness can also be fierce!
As ever,
