What are we up to?
LA Race Praxis Meet up
In 2022, the Los Angeles Race Praxis network began as a group of community organizations that serve those who are committed to love, spiritual transformation, and justice. The groups that came together held a common commitment to bring all of these things to their respective communities of those in need of sober living spaces, reentry support, youth entrepreneurship, health and wellness connecting urban LA to nature, and much more. All of the network participants know that the communities they serve will need ongoing care and dedication. To inspire ourselves, we meet monthly for a meal and to laugh. Please let us know if you wish to join us by contacting us at info@gocompassion.org
Open Healing Circle - formerly Black/API circle
This Healing Circle came into being after the May 2020 death of George Floyd and meets every other Tuesday, virtually. The participants enter the space and listen deeply to what is on the hearts of those who join. We are opening beyond Black/API participants in 2025.
Open Healing Circle (formerly Black/API Circle)
You are invited to experience a practice that will develop your capacity to listen deeply, to help build a unique container for composting and returning a clean space to continue your daily activities with less fear, more energy, and greater inspiration to serve others. The Open Healing Circle has been changed to allow the people who wish to be in community by supporting the heart to open and to affirm that healing, unlike cures, is a life-long process. In the healing process, one will receive insights into how best to identify ways to stop judging, be more generous, and resist the temptation to try and fix problems that simply need to be shared in order to lift a burden. A safe and confidential space opens to the people who join.

Virtual Meditation/Zazen
This is a space where people can join in Zen meditation practice, with others who are seeking a space to release themselves from the demands of every day life to re-set and engage again with all that needs to be attended to with family, work, and community. Here, there will be a chance to return to the original source of your existence. The breath. Four bells to begin; One bell to end. The world awaits your return.
Supply delivery to Tijuana Sanctuary
Pausing our monthly delivery to the sanctuary in Mexico that has been delivering clothing, household items, and medicines. Funds to cover costs of transport and support for food purchases have run out. In light of the fires and political shifts, we asked for support again through contributions, both individual and institutional. If you would like to donate funds, please feel free to use the “DONATE” button on this site and if time allows, email for details at info@GoCompassion.org
